Thomas Jürs studied agriculture and management in Rendsburg and graduated in 1988 with a degree in Engineering. He has been active as a tax consultant since 1993, and since 2003 he has been a chartered accountant. He has also completed a course of training in business succession. Since 1993 he has been head of the Betriebs-SHBB office in Bad Oldesloe.
